Hotel Four Seasons, Madrid, Spain

In the heart of Madrid’s historic centre and close to the Parliament is a block of seven historic, monumental buildings that were home to banks in their heyday but had been unused for years. In an intervention lasting several years, the team of architects in charge of the project managed to unite these individual buildings and transform them into a complex for hotel use, luxury flats and commercial space. The redevelopment project was undoubtedly one of the most spectacular in Europe in recent years, not only because of the scale of the work, but also because of the exquisite work done with respect for the preserved facades and historical elements.
